Online lecture: "Cannabis & Co - state control instead of organised crime".
What are the implications of our current drug policy? How does current legislation influence the production, sale and consumption of cannabis and other substances? And what possibilities would there be for a more progressive drug policy?
In his online presentation on Wednesday, 24 June 2020, at 7 p.m., Michael Herzig will examine these questions and use examples to illustrate the consequences of our drug policy for users.

Michael Herzig is one of the most distinguished experts on Swiss drug policy. For 16 years he was the Drug Commissioner of the City of Zurich and now teaches as a lecturer at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences ZHAW. In 2019, together with Frank Zobel and Sandro Cattacin, he published the book "Cannabispolitik: die Fragen, die niemand stellen" (Cannabis policy: the questions nobody asks), in which the authors show what effects cannabis prohibition has had in Switzerland - and whether it has had the desired effect.
The presentation, which lasts about 30 minutes, takes place in the run-up to the annual Arud general meeting and is open to the public. It will be transmitted via Facebook livestream on our Facebook page - the link will follow in due course here and on our Facebook page.
