Philip Bruggmann joins the Tobacco Prevention Fund's expert committee

Co-Head Physician Philip Bruggmann has accepted the invitation to join the ‘Expert Committee for Tobacco and Nicotine Cessation in Medical Settings and Related Areas’.

The cross-professional expert committee, which was set up by the Tobacco Prevention Fund (TPF), brings together experts in tobacco prevention and the medical sector. It promotes national co-operation in tobacco and nicotine cessation.
Among other things, the committee draws up cross-professional recommendations on tobacco and nicotine cessation. It is also committed to ensuring basic, further and advanced training for tobacco prevention specialists in medicine and related fields, such as social or counselling professions.

Philip Bruggmann was appointed to the expert panel due to his extensive expertise in cessation, addiction treatment and harm reduction. His in-depth knowledge and experience are seen as a valuable addition to the existing expertise on the committee. Philip Bruggmann is looking forward to using his expertise to contribute to the further development of national tobacco cessation strategies and, in particular, to promote the harm-reduction approach to nicotine cessation in Switzerland.
